The Reformation, along with its sister movement (the Counter-Reformation), is a chapter in Art history that is very well worth exploring.
Maybe, as our Shaykh, Titus Burckhardt -a.k.a. Shaykh Ibrahim- notes*, this art is not truly religious art, but hey, the Frogs live surrounded by it and are immersed into its -sometimes clear, sometimes muddy- waters.
